The Hudson Oceanarium was conceived by IDEA and
designed by CSP to be an economic engine, is a mixed use development at Pier 40
on Lower Manhattan’s West Side.
Consistent with clear and well documented precedent in Baltimore and
Chattanooga, the Oceanarium and associated retail, offices and parking, will
generate significant new tax revenue to the New York City and New York, and
act as a catalyst of growth and revitalization at a time when the City is in
severe economic distress. The
Oceanarium is a celebration of the Hudson River and will be a focal point for
the promotion and oversight of its regeneration. It will create a context of environmental dialogue. The
project’s roof will also provide the
